Teagasc the Agriculture and Food Development Authority invites applications for postgraduate Walsh Fellowship. There are up to 30 new places each year with a grant of €22,000 per student. All aspects of agriculture, horticulture, food, agri-food economics, rural development and rural environment, as well as specific topics identified for priority funding each year.
Duration: Up to 02 years for an M.Sc and 04 years for PhD
Location: Teagasc research centre

- Food, Animal (including pigs) and Grassland Production

- Environment and Land Use
- Rural Economics and Development
Eligibility
- Applications for Fellowships are made by full-time academic staff (“the Lead External supervisor”) in third-level colleges in collaboration with a permanent Teagasc research officer (“the lead Teagasc supervisor”)
- Applications are not accepted from individual postgraduate students, and the Programme does not fund taught (non-research) postgraduate programmes.
