The University of Sydney invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up the Project Officer positions to be involved in ensuring the University’s learning, teaching and research are at the forefront of addressing cultural competence for 5 year fixed-term on contract basis. Wingara Mura – Bunga Barrabugu (Wingara Mura), the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategy is a whole-of-University approach which intends to ensure that all faculties and University services are committed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advancement.

About the position: Selected candidates will set up project teams, develop and implement plans as well as manage project financials and prepare status reports in line with broader project governance requirements. One of the positions is a 5-year fixed-term contract and will work specifically for the National Centre for Cultural Competence.

Total Vacancies: Up to 4 positions available

Position: Project Officer

Salary: $86-92k p.a. (HE06) plus annual leave loading and superannuation.

Duration: full-time, continuing and 5 year fixed-term contracts

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have Excellent administrative skills, with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies and Experience working in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation. They must have Planning, analysis and communication skills.
