University of Greifswald is offering a total of five doctoral scholarships for summer semester 2018. Applications can be made by doctoral candidates who are able to prove study and examination results that were well above average in their university degree that qualifies them for doctoral studies.
Applications are invited for 2 new scholarships funded by the state graduate funding programme and 3 new Bogislaw scholarships funded by the corporate budget. The scholarships are awarded subject to the availability of state budgetary funds and corporate budgetary funds.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have successfully completed university degree with well above average marks, which qualifies the student for commencing doctoral studies
- Applicant must secure place for admission to the University for carrying out a doctorate and academic supervision from two of the University’s professors
- The planned scientific project must be expected to make an important contribution to research or contribution to the improvement of the industrial competitiveness of the State.
- Applicant must enroll him/herself to the University of Greifswald as a doctoral candidate.

Scholarship value: 1,100.00 euros; family supplement: 150.00 euros for the first child and 100.00 euros for every other child.
Bogislaw scholarships
Duration: initially 1 year; max 3 years
Scholarship value: 1,200.00 euros; family supplement of 150.00 euros for the first child and 100.00 euros for every other child.
