The Department of Informatics at Umeå University invites applications for five PhD positions in Informatics. The position runs for four years full-time. The position may contain up to 20% of other activities (e.g. teaching).

Eligibility:
  • Applicants hold an advanced level education in informatics or related subject such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction or interaction design.
  • The candidate for postgraduate studies must have completed degree at an advanced level, or completed course requirements of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits are obtained at an advanced level, or equivalent knowledge.
  • The special qualifications required for admission to postgraduate education in informatics consist of basic university education in informatics of at least 90 credits, as well as 60 credits at advanced level in informatics (master’s level) or other education of similar scope and specialization.
  • Applicant must master the English language in speech and writing and have insight into research in informatics.
