Position 1: Postdoctoral Fellow in Educational studies

Requirements

The general requirements for the postdoctoral fellowship positions are the following:

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Education/Sociology/Economics or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in economics, sociology or education, ability to work in team;
  • Fluent English is an obligatory condition as research and other activities are conducted in English. Knowledge of Russian is not required;
  • Relevant experience will be an asset although not required.

Position 2: Postdoctoral Fellow in Scientometrics

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of scientometrics\bibliometrics, research evaluation, higher education and science policy studies, library and information science or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in at least one of the aforementioned fields, ability to work in team.
  • Fluent English is an obligatory condition as research and other activities are conducted in English. Knowledge of Russian is not required;
  • Relevant experience will be an asset although not required.

Position 3: Postdoctoral Fellow in Economic History

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Economics, Economic History, Political Science or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in empirical methods and economic theory, ability to conduct an independent research.
  • Fluent English is an obligatory condition as research and other activities are conducted in English. Knowledge of Russian is not required;
  • Relevant experience will be an asset although not required.

Position 4: Postdoctoral Fellow in Applied Econometrics

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Economics, Econometrics, Political Science or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in empirical methods and economic theory, ability to conduct an independent research.

Position 5: Postdoctoral Fellow in Banking

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Economics, Banking, Finance or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in Economics, Econometrics, Banking, Finance or Household Finance, strong empirical skills and interest in applied empirical research; ability to work in team as well as on his/her own research projects
  • Fluent English is an obligatory condition as research and other activities are conducted in English. Knowledge of Russian is not required;
  • Relevant experience will be an asset although not required.
