Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications from Indian nationals to fill up Scientist-B positions (Hydrometeorologist). The positions are available under Ministry of Water Resources River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Central Ground Water Board.

Number of Posts: 06
Remunerations: Revised Pay Scale as per 7th CPC- Level 10 (Rs.56100-177500/-); Rs.56,100/- plus DA p.m. approximately.

Age limit: applicant must not exceed 35 years (General Category) and 38 years (Other Backward Class) and 40 years (Scheduled Castes).

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Science or Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Equivalent here means Master degree (at least two years degree course after graduation) in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics or Master of Science Degree in any Discipline or Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electricals Engineering or Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Applicant must have THREE years research experience in Hydrometeorology work.
