Analytical Chemist – Wine Industry United States 1056 views

We are searching Analytical Chemist who will work in state of the art instrumentation and analytical technologies and partners with the world’s greatest winemakers to provide them with innovative analytical tools and an unmatched technical expertise to support their winemaking craft.

Requirements

  1. Performing GC analysis in a commercial laboratory serving the wine, beer, cider and spirits industries
  2. Daily operation and maintenance of multiple GC, GC/MS, GC/MS/MS systems.
  3. Generation of quality system-compliant data
  4. Working with team members to execute analysis conforming to SOPs and to maintain good record keeping practices
  5. Identifying instrument problems and performing routine troubleshooting
  6. Participation in and promotion of continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory
  7. No experience in the wine industry is required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field
  2. 2 or more years experience in a production laboratory
  3. Experience with sample preparation and extraction techniques (SPE, SPME)
  4. Experience with chromatographic techniques and instrumentation (GC, GC/MS, GC/MS/MS)
  5. Experience working in an ISO 17025 environment preferred
  6. Experience with ChemStation and MassHunter software preferred
  7. NMR working experience a plus
