One PhD Research Fellowship (Doctoral) within Arctic Governance is available in the Department of Sociology, Political Science and Community Planning (ISS) at The Arctic University of Norway (UiT)
Duration: The appointment is for a period of 4 years (fixed term position).
Qualification requirements:
- Applicant must have master’s degree in political science with a B/B+ (North American grading system) or above average grade, or the same grades in another relevant social science subjects.
- Applicant must be English proficient with excellent written and spoken skills.
- Ideal candidate must have background of one or a combination of: governance/security studies; international/regional governance; Arctic; legal reform; indigenous studies.
- The candidate will ideally have a command of the Russian language (fluent enough to read, write, and converse). This is not a firm requirement though Russian skills will be preferred.
- Personal suitability will be emphasized.
