Scholarships for international Master’s Program in forestry for Asian students by the Vietnam National University of Forestry offers. The university offers a full-time 2-year International Master’s program in the field of Forestry.
The Forestry program work s in collaboration with
- Vietnam National University of Forestry;
- University of Gottingen, Netherlands
- Technical University of Dresden, Germany;
- Lao National University
- Royal University of Agriculture, Cambodia.
Selected students will also have chances to interact and exchange experience with other leading international experts in the field of Forestry and Natural Resource Management.
The program is also supported by the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD).
Teaching: The program will be taught in English by outstanding German, VNUF, RUA, and NUoL professors. The program majorly focuses on:
- forest science,
- Sustainable forest management,
- Forest policy,
- Conservation of forest ecosystems,
- Biodiversity conservation (tropical region).
Scholarship:
The top 5 applicants from Asian countries will receive scholarships that cover tuition and
accommodation. Five other students will receive scholarships that cover half of the tuition (S1000 per
year) and accommodation.
The deadline for application is August 30* 2016. The first semester will start in January 2017.
Application documents must be prepared in English. The application package includes:

- Motivation letter
- Bachelor’s degree (with transcripts)
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- 4 color photos 3×4 (cm) with white background
- English certificate
- 2 reference letters from 2 university professors (alternatively 1 from employer)
- Health certificate issued within the previous 6 months
Students are expected to use English fluently. Candidates will be interviewed via Skype. Students owing suitable English certificate such as TOEFL, IELTS, and CEFR will be given priority.
