Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor in Bio-Chemistry (Vacancy Number: 19070801327). The position is available under Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution, Department of Food & Public Distribution, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur

Remuneration: Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/-, as per 6th CPC)

Age limit: not more than 40 years as on normal closing date

Qualification requirement:
  • Post Graduate degree in Chemistry with specialization in Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent and
  • Five years research/ practical/ teaching experience at degree level in Bio- Chemistry OR
  • Doctorate in Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent and
  • Three years research/ practical/ teaching experience at degree level in Bio-Chemistry.

Desirable:

  • Research experience in Carbohydrate Chemistry.
  • Experience of guiding research work.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, research and advisory
  • Any other work assigned by Professor (Bio-Chemistry) or Director.

Probation: One year for direct recruits.
