The Faculty of Science, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam invites online applications from eligible candidates having background in synthetic organic chemistry with affinity to applied biocatalysis and experience in protein engineering for filling up the Full Professor in organic chemistry to research in the field of Organic Chemistry focusing on the development of sustainable synthetic methodology for manufacturing high-added value materials and therapeutics, also entails teaching of basic organic chemistry courses for various other bachelor and master programs of the Faculty of Science. Candidate will also supervise Bsc and Msc student projects. Selected candidate will be part of the Organic Chemistry (ORC) division of the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS) department

Position: Assistant Professor in organic chemistry

Location: AMSTERDAM.

Salary: € 3.637.- and a maximum € 4.978,- in accordance with salary scale 11.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have doctoral degree (Ph.D. degree) in the field of organic chemistry and working experience in chemists, physicists and biologists also having several years of research experience (proven by publications and invited talks) in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, experience with protein engineering and biocatalysis will be preferred.
