Eligibility Conditions

  1. A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in relevant discipline  from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Or PhD degree in Relevant discipline.
  2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission.

Faculty Duties

The duties of a teacher will include the following:-

  1. Teaching under personal contact programs and such other teaching work as may be assigned by the University.
  2. Editing, writing, revising, translating lessons and other reading materials.
  3. Correction of student response-sheets.
  4. Such other work as may be assigned by the department in connection with teaching.
  5. The obligation to take classes will be as relevant on Sundays and other holidays as on working days. In case the teachers are required to take personal contact program classes on Sundays and/or other holidays, they will be permitted to avail of compensatory leave.
  6. A teacher will also be required to take classes outside the headquarters, whenever personal contact programs are arranged by the Directorate of Correspondence Courses (If necessary).
  7. Every teacher shall maintaining a record of work done by him term-wise and shall submit the same to the department.
