The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology (MPI-IE) zand Epigenetics are inviting applications for a Bioinformatician in Immunogenetics (m/f/d). The position will be available in the Boehm.
Study areas:
- Bioinformatics
- Data analysis
- Statistics
- Immunogenetics
Duration: initially funded for two years
About the project:
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute directly to multiple research projects, from experimental design to data analysis and interpretation, interacting with a strong, interdisciplinary bioinformatics and deep sequencing team that provides access to a large Sequencing Facility (HiSeq3000, HiSeq2500, NextSeq500), as well as a high-performance Data Center with Petabyte-scale storage solutions.
- Responsibilities include design of sequencing experiments, processing and quality control of NGS datasets of whole genome and amplicon bisulfite sequencing with discovery of differentially methylated regions, WGS and variant calling, RNAseq, scRNAseq, analysis of differential gene expression and gene module calling, analyses of sequence homologies and conservation, TCR clonotyping, reference assembly and annotation in non-model organisms, and development and implementation of custom analyses in collaboration with wetlab scientists.
