Biological / Biochemical Scientist: Max Planck Institute 935 views

The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology invites applications for a biological/biochemical scientist position.

Starting date: 1st January 2019

Location: Compound Management and Screening Center (COMAS).

About the position:

  • The Compound Management and Screening Center (COMAS) is the central facility for early drug discovery within the Max Planck Society.
  • The selected fellow will be responsible for the development of biochemical assays and adaptation to high-throughput screening.
  • The biochemical scientist will be involved in the hands-on work during the high-throughput screening as well as HTS data analysis and hit triaging.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold PhD degree in biochemistry or biology or a comparable qualification.
  • Applicant must have experience in biochemical and/ or biophysical assays; protein methods/ protein analysis techniques;
  • Applicant must possess good English and German language skills.
  • Applicant must have strong ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary team; manage several projects at a time and ability to communicate well in the team as well as with collaboration partners
