Cargill Global Scholars Program 1329 views

The Institute of International Education offers Cargill Global Scholars Program. The program provides financial support and leadership development opportunity to undergraduate students from around the world. Scholarships will be awarded to talented, high performing students studying in a field relevant to Cargill’s world of food, agriculture and risk management.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a national or permanent legal resident of Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia or the United States.
  • Applicant must attend a partner university in the country of citizenship or permanent legal residency
  • Applicant must be Ist or IInd year university student
  • Applicant must demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential

Selection criteria:

  • financial need
  • specialize in fields of study that are identified as preferred fields (see each country’s guidelines)
  • must belong to disadvantaged or underrepresented group within their country

Scholarship value:

  • annual scholarship award for up to 2 years, to help off-set any academic related expenses
  • offer to participate in a fully-funded 3 day leadership seminar during the first year of the program
  • will have the opportunity to participate in a fully funded Global Leadership Seminar to be held at one of Cargill’s global locations
  • will be paired with a Cargill leader who will serve as a guide over the duration of the program
  • recipient will become a member of the Cargill Global Scholars alumni community

Deadlines & Dates

  • The application deadline is March 1, 2017
  • Interviews: between April 25 – May 10, 2017.
  • Award announcement: late May 2017.
