Postdoctoral position in Chemical Oceanography Postdoctoral position is available at The School of Science Auckland University of Technology .
The successful applicant will have a doctoral in chemical oceanography or related field and experience with the carbonate chemistry of seawater, dissolved inorganic carbon, inorganic nutrients and analyses of alkalinity.
You will perform a series of laboratory experiments to discern the effects of CO2 perturbations on the sediment seawater exchange of dissolved inorganic nutrients and underlying microbial processes.
A strong publication record, in-depth understanding of the biogeochemistry of marine sediments, willingness to conduct regular seagoing field trips and to supervise the ocean acidification research projects of undergraduate and postgraduate students will be an advantage.
The position is based in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a full-time, 2 year appointment.
It is anticipated that the position will commence no later than November 1, 2016.
