DAAD invites applications from Indian citizens who have been to Germany for study or research or are still doing that to be the Young Ambassador. Young Ambassadors are students or young professionals interested in promoting education in Germany. Young Ambassadors help inspire others to study in Germany by answering questions from students, organizing their own information events and by volunteering at student fairs and fests.

  • DAAD will cover all expenses related to the training workshop including travel (only within India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka) and stay.
  • Short profiles and photos of the selected DAAD Young Ambassadors will be posted to DAAD India website
  • Each Young Ambassador will be provided with a dedicated DAAD email Id for the tenure.
Requirements
  • applicant must have studied or carried out research in Germany or are currently studying or researching there
  • applicant must be willing to promote studying in Germany on your campus or at workplace
  • applicant must be able to speak enthusiastically about his/her experiences in Germany in front of others
  • applicant must attend the Young Ambassadors Training Workshop in New Delhi from Thursday, 23 to Sunday, 26 August 2018
Responsibilities
  • organize at least two events about study and research opportunities in Germany
  • take part in activities such as study abroad fairs, information sessions etc.
  • respond to email queries
Duration: one academic year; may be renewed
