DevelopMed: 12 Postdoc Fellowships in Precision Oncology 837 views

DevelopMed, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Action, is a new International Training and Career Development Fellowship Programme led by University College Dublin. The Programme offers 12 prestigious Precision Oncology Fellowships to experienced researchers at the early stage of their career. Fellows will conduct their own research project at one of the following academic institutions in Ireland: University College Dublin (UCD; host institution), National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG), the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences (RCSI) or University College Cork (UCC).

About the project:
  • The aim of DevelopMed is to develop the next generation of skilled researchers who will gain handson experience developing cross-disciplinary and entrepreneurial skills through individual research projects with a mandatory 3 – 6 month secondment at another research performing institution in academia, industry, clinical and/or charity sectors in any country.
  • The Fellowships will be for a period of 3 years.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a PhD degree, or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience.
  • Mobility requirements: Fellowships are open to candidates of any nationality, who at the time of the deadline for submission of proposals, shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Ireland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission date. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
  • Applicants may not have resided or carried out their main activity in the Republic of Ireland for more than 3 years in the 5 years immediately prior to the call deadline.
