German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is inviting applications for the DKFZ Postdoc Program, the Center’s official program to provide comprehensive support to young researchers while doing their postdoc at the institute. The aim is to recruit highly talented young scientists from all over the world keen on pursuing research projects in basic and translational cancer research.

DKFZ Research Programs:
  • Cell Biology and Tumor Biology
  • Functional and Structural Genomics
  • Cancer Risk Factors and Prevention
  • Tumor Immunology
  • Imaging and Radiooncology
  • Infection, Inflammation and Cancer
  • Translational Cancer Research

Number of fellowships: up to 10 fellowships per year

Duration: max., 2 years

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold qualification equivalent to a PhD or MD.
  • Applicant must have documented successful previous research endeavors with publications.
  • Applicants must be at an early stage of their career, having held a PhD for no longer than 2 years.
  • The fellowship is not open for internal candidates, unless they have been recruited not longer than 6 months before the application deadline.
