Doctoral/Postdoc position at University of Helsinki: Developmental Neurobiology (Partanen lab, Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki (UH), invites online applications from highly motivated applicants interested in neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, addiction, schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease for filling up the position of Doctoral Student /Postdoctoral Researcher in Developmental Neurobiology for the project “Brainstem neurons behind mood, memory and motivation – from development to behavioral control” funded by the Academy of Finland. The project is targeted at understanding of the regulation of differentiation and molecular properties of neurons controlling mood and motivation.

Position: Doctoral Student/Postdoctoral Researcher

Salary: 2200 to 3000 euros/month for doctoral position and 3 100 euros/month-for postdoc position.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have Master/PhD (doctoral degree) in Neurobiology, Biological and environmental Sciences or related fields or equivalent field with related experience and having knowledge of techniques, such as single cell mRNA sequencing and gene modified mice.
