Dr. S. Radharkrishnan Postdoctoral Fellowship in Humanities & Social Sciences and Languages are now open for Indian nationals. The main aim of this award is to provide an opportunity to carry out the higher studies and research in Humanities and Social Sciences including languages in Indian Universities or Colleges or Institutions

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be unemployed.
  • Age: below 35 years. This fellowship is open for full time research work to young researchers.
  • Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD (Persons with Disabilities) applicants.
  • Academic grades: min. 55% at UG level & min. 60% of marks at PG level are mandatory (for general category); min. 50% of marks at UG level & min. 55% of marks at PG level (for reserved categories).
  • Candidates applying for postdoc must upload the NOC from the proposed research centre duly signed by the HOD and Registrar/Principal/Director of the University/College/Institute.
  • Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per the Govt. of India norms
  • Note: applicants must recognize a Guide for their postdoctoral research work and get his/her consent for the guidance.

Numbers of seats: 200/year.

Financial Assistance:

  • Fellowship: Rs.38,800 for Ist year; Rs.40,300 IInd year; Rs.41,900 IIIrd year
  • Contingency A: Rs.50,000/annum for 3 years
  • Escorts/Reader assistance: Rs.2000/month (fixed) in case of physically disabled candidates
  • HRA: accommodation in hostel recognized by the institutions may be reimbursed the hostel fee, excluding mess, electricity, water charges, etc. In case Postdoc Fellow makes their own arrangements of accommodation, they may be entitled to draw HRA. Postdoc Fellow will have to submit a certificate for this purpose to the UGC for claiming HRA through the concerned University/ Institution/ College
