Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in professional course (B.E /B. Tech) from recognized University / Institute in First Division with valid GATE score Or
  • Post graduate in professional course (M.E /M. Tech) from recognized University / Institute in First Division both at Graduate & Post graduate level. (Preference with GATE)
  • Applicant must not exceed 28 years of age as on last date of receipt of application. (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC as per Govt. of India orders).

Duration: initially for a period of 2 years; may be extended based on candidate’s performance as per rules. The fellowship shall not exceed 5 years.

Stipend:

  • JRF For 01st & 02nd year Rs.25,000/- p.m.; For 03rd year (if upgraded to SRF) Rs.28,000/- p.m
  • Contingency Grant: JRF- Rs.15,000/- per annum on reimbursement basis; SRF- Rs.20,000/- per annum on reimbursement basis

  • Applicants may apply for the fellowship by sending the duly filled application form along with self- attested copies of Date of Birth, Mark sheets, GATE score card (if applicable), Degree certificate(s), Caste Certificate (if applicable) and testimonials on or before specified date.
  • Application form can be downloaded from the DRDO website and duly filled in application form can be sent to “Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment, C.V. Raman Nagar, Bangalore – 560 093” through post only.
  • Candidates are required to enclose Rs.10/- Indian Postal Order (IPO) in the name of Director, GTRE along with application form. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC/Women categories candidates are exempted from the payment.
  • The envelope containing the application may be superscribed as ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JRF ’
