EMBL Australia is keen to support young scientists into a research career hence, a symposium, an annual event organised by first-year PhD students is organised.

Duration: It is being organised from 22nd to 24th November 2018. It is the 20th EMBL PhD Symposium. It is being organised in Heidelberg, Germany. The 3 days would constitute of talks by leading experts and by students themselves.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The grants are open to students who are currently enrolled in a PhD program at an Australian university and have not yet submitted a thesis.
  • Applications will be reviewed and ranked solely on the basis of qualification and scientific potential by the EMBL Australia Travel Grant selection committee.
