ETH Zurich and the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) invites applications for Research technicians in biotechnology.
Starting date: This is a full time position, starting February 1st, 2017.
Duration: 3 years
Requirements:
- Applicant must be highly qualified and motivated technicians (junior and senior) to develop a wirelessly powered bio-electronic cell-based implant.
- Applicant is expected to take on a leading role in the development of stable cell line using viral vectors based gene delivery technics to integrate opto-genetic components.
- Applicant must have completed a degree in biology (Bachelor’s/Master’s) or as solid experience as a lab assistant/technician.
- Applicant must have an interest in medical devices development and cell-based therapies.
- Applicant must have brilliant understanding of cell biology including knowledge and experience in molecular biology is expected.
- Applicant is expected to have basic electronic skills or experience in integrated lab automation platform.
- Applicant must possess good communication skills in English (oral and written).
