ETSU:International Students Academic Merit Scholarship 1809 views

ETSU (East Tenessee State University) is offering International Students Academic Merit Scholarship to new international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree. The scholarship award covers 50 percent of total of in and out-of-state tuition and maintenance fees only. No additional fees or costs are covered. The scholarship can only be taken at ETSU. The award is available for:

  1. Eight semesters for undergraduate students
  2. Five semesters for recipient taking a master’s degree, or commensurate with the period of the program.
  3. Eight semesters for doctoral students
  4. Scholarship can be applied to summer semesters.
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants Must:

Applicants are encouraged to apply for scholarship as soon as they apply for admission to ETSU.

Deadlines: Candidates need to submit completed applications by the following dates:

  1. Fall semester deadline: no later than July 15th
  2. Spring semester deadline: no later than October 15th

After submitting admission applications, the student may then apply for the scholarship.

Additional Conditions
  • Students must maintain full-time status.
  • Undergraduate students must maintain a 2.75 grade point average in order to continue receiving the scholarship and graduate recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
  • The scholarship only applies to in and out-of-state tuition and maintenance fees. Recipients will be required to pay other fees such as program fees, course fees, housing costs, and medical insurance costs.
  • Recipients continuing from a bachelor’s to a master’s degree program must reapply for the scholarship.
