Faculty in aviation engineering at HvA: Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) invited applications from eligible candidates who are with academic background in the field of Aviation Engineering for filling up Professor position to be active in publications, this includes training professionals through Master classes and organising international conferences. The Aviation Engineering professorship was introduced in 2009 and has since established a solid track record of research in the field of aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and Human Factors and Safety.

About the position: This position requires vision – vision in terms of research ideas in the field of MRO and in terms of working with our partners (companies and organisations) and employees to make a difference. The main task of the professor in Aviation Engineering is to increase the research programme in cooperation with the international aviation sector and to link this to the teaching activities of the Aviation Academy.

Total Vacancies: 1 Position

Position: Professor on contract basis

Duration: 4 years, initially.

Salary: € 7,284 gross per month

Location for the position: Amsterdam

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree and relevant work experience within the aviation sector, specifically with MRO and preferably within the industry. Candidates having Experience with Safety and Human Factors will be preferred.
