SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR FILLING UP SC/ST/OBC VACANCIES FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR at NIT GOA is one of the 10 new NITs setup during XI plan period and is in its fourth year. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals who would enjoy the excitement of being setting up of a “world class teaching and research Institution”. The individual should have a strong commitment for teaching and unequivocal flavor for research.
The positions available are at the level of Assistant Professor in the regular cadre and on contract basis under special recruitment drive for filling up SC/ST/OBC. Applications are required in the following departments: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Economics and Mechanical Engineering. The Specific disciplines & expertise are given below. Outstanding candidates in a related field not listed explicitly herein, also may be considered for an appropriate position. NIT Goa shall provide ample opportunities for both fundamental and applied research, development and consultancy activities. Startup grants shall be provided so as to enable faculty member to attract funding from agencies like DST, CSIR as well as global foundations and international agencies. Applications for faculty positions will be accepted throughout the year. Usually accumulated applications will be considered in the selection committee as & when it meets.
