Eligibility:

Assistant Professor

  • PhD in relevant discipline from an institution of high repute
  • First class UG & PG degree in advertised discipline and a good academic record throughout.
  • At least 4 research publications in SCI/SCIE/SSCI/AHCI indexed journals.
  • Potential for excellence in teaching and research.

Associate Professor

  • PhD in relevant discipline from an institution of high repute.
  • First class UG & PG degree in advertised discipline.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching plus research as
  • Assistant Professor in a reputed academic institution.

Professor

  • PhD in relevant discipline from an institution of high repute.
  • First class UG & PG degree in advertised discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience of teaching and research experience in University/National level Institutions of which at least 3 years as an Associate Professor.
  • Sustained and proven excellence in teaching, research and sponsored R&D /industrial consultancy activities.

Senior Professor

  • An eminent scholar with sustained and proven excellence in teaching, research and sponsored R&D activities/ industrial consultancies.
  • Served a minimum of ten years as a Professor.
  • Guided at least 4 PhD independently after becoming professor.
  • A minimum of 20 publications in SCI/SCIE/SSCI/AHCI indexed journals after becoming Professor out of which at least ten research papers shall be published either as solitary author or coauthored only with their own current students (UG/PG/PhD/research associate in their own project).
  • Obtained at least two sponsored R&D projects of total worth Rs. 30 lakhs independently after becoming Professor.
  • For faculty members of Architecture/HMCT/Management, earning worth Rs. 15 lakhs or more from at least two Training Activities/Consultancy /FDP/ EDP etc. may also be admissible.

B.M. Birla Distinguished Research Professor

Over and above the eligibility criteria applicable for Senior Professor as given above, the following additional performance requirements shall be applicable:

  • An eminent scholar with high quality publications in high impact journals, significant research contribution to the discipline and proven record of excellence in research supervision.
  • A minimum of five years of teaching/ research experience as HAG/Senior Professor or an equivalent grade in the IIT/IISc/University/other top 25 NIRF ranked institutes.
  • Sustained and proven excellence in teaching, research and demonstrated capability of attracting Sponsored R&D Projects / industrial consultancies as Principal Investigator.
  • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process.
  • Preference shall be given to FNAE, FNA, FNASc, FASc.
  • Selection shall be based on academic achievements, favorable review from three eminent subject experts who are not less than the rank of Senior Professor or a Professor of at least ten years’ experience.
