The Aziz Foundation is awarding 100% tuition fee Masters Scholarships to youth lacking the financial means to complete postgraduate degrees at British universities.

  1. These scholarships aim to empower British Muslims to bring positive change to their communities and beyond.
  2. Thus, they are aimed at those who aspire to make a positive contribution to society– people who want to help others and view themselves as future British Muslim leaders – change makers

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  1. have applied for a master’s level programme (PGCE, PGDip and PGCert programmes are not considered) starting in the 2021/22 academic year
  2. be experiencing financial barriers to pursing further study
  3. be dedicated to bettering Muslim communities and wider society
  4. pursue a course that will benefit your career prospects and/or assist in the development of your current career geared towards community service
  5. be willing to advocate on behalf of communities
  6. qualify for UK/EU tuition fee status.

How to Apply

Applications are submitted online, with the application form made available on 7th January 2021.The application form includes questions about financial means, a vision statement of no more than 1,000 words and the names of two referees.

  1. Short-listed applicants will be invited for a 30 minute interview to explore questions around:
  1. challenges facing British Muslims;
  2. vision and hopes for change;
  3. personal qualities needed to succeed;
  4. means test – financial barriers faced (student debt, financial commitments).

Successful applicants will show how the Masters course they wish to study increases their effectiveness in one of the following areas relating to British Muslims:

  1. Representation and Advocacy:increase representation and contribution of Muslims to civil society
  2. Community Development:raise aspirations and standards within British Muslim communities
  3. Successful applicants will be supported through:
  4. Applications close at 12 noon, 1st June or earlier once all scholarships have been awarded.
