The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM), established at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH is offering FITM -AYUSH Research Fellowships Scheme.

Categories of Fellowships

  • Doctoral Fellowships

Duration:

  • Doctoral Fellowships: two years
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship: one year

Fellowship value:

  • Doctoral Research Fellowship: Lumpsum amount maximum of INR 5/- lakh per year.
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship: Lumpsum amount maximum of INR 7.5/- lakh per year.

Eligibility

  • Research Fellowships are open to scholars with educational backgrounds in any of the AYUSH disciplines.
  • Additional qualification in any other specialisation, especially IT, is desirable.
  • Outstanding candidates from other disciplines may be considered.
  • Doctoral Research Fellowship applicant should be a full time PhD scholar in any UGC recognised Indian University, deemed University /Institute.
  • Postdoctoral Research Fellowship applicant should have obtained his/her PhD degree at the time of application for the Fellowship.
  • Age Limit: max 28 years for Doctoral Research Fellowship and for Post-Doctoral Fellows should not be more than 35 years of age (relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, physically challenged and female applicants)
