Postdoctoral position in Food Chemistry
Postdoctoral position in Food Chemistry is now open at the Department of Biotechnology. The position is funded by the Faculty of Natural Science and Technology and is within the relevant field. The postdoc will work with issues related to health promoting and bioactive molecules in food and how these changes during processing and storage of food.
Currently research field at the Department are:
- Analysis and control of microbial systems
- Biopolymers and Biomaterials
- Microbial Biotechnology
About the project:
Duration of the project is 3 years and includes one year of teaching duties. The research project focuses on preservation of health promoting constituents in food. The research is related to several ongoing projects concentrating on experimental studies where the goal is to understand biochemical processes that are important for the stability of these components.
Qualifications:
- PhD within the relevant research area is required.
- To be specific, PhD in Biotechnology, Food chemistry or similar background is required.
