Applications are invited for Shaanxi Normal University International Student Scholarship Program for the academic year 2019 – 2020.

Nationality: Scholarships are available for non-Chinese citizens.

The University was founded in 1944. Shaanxi Normal University is a top-tier comprehensive teachers’ university which is directly administered by the Ministry of Education.

Level of study: Masters and PhD

Subject Areas: 

Only 3 PhD English taught Programs:

• Computer Software and Technology
• Curriculum and Teaching Theory and
• Chemistry

Other all programs are Chinese-taught programs.

Number of Scholarships: 10 scholarships are available in each category.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen and should be in good health
2. The applying candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and should be under the age of 40 when applying for master’s programs.
3. The applying candidate should have a master’s degree and must be under the age of 45 when applying for doctoral program.
4. The applicants whose first language is not English would be required to provide proof of efficiency in English.

2. The completed application should be submitted online and a hard copy of the same should be printed.

Documents required: The documents should be sent by post to International Students Office before the deadline.

1. The completed application form written in Chinese or English.
2. Notarized highest diploma (photocopy)
3. Prospective diploma winners would be required to submit official documents issued by the current school to prove the current student status or expected graduation date.
4. Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English)
5. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translation.
6. Research results
7. Published thesis, award certificates, etc. to prove the academic achievements and research capabilities;
8. A Study Plan or Research Proposal written in Chinese or English, a minimum of 800 words for master applicants and 1500 words for PhD applicants);
9. 2 recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English);
10. Applicants must submit two recommendation letters signed by professor or associate professor.
11. Valid HSK certificate;
12. Photocopy of Passport Photo Page;
13. Notarized No Criminal Activity Certificate (in English or Chinese);
14. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy);
