The Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research invites applications for a Postdoctoral position available within the NanoBeam Group. The NanoBeam is an independent group led by Dr. Nahid Talebi, funded by the ERC and the Max Planck Society. The postdoc researchers must have an outstanding background in Physics, Physical Chemistry, or Electrical Engineering, to help the PI to control the interaction of electron beams and light with functional materials.
Starting date: February 1, 2019
Fellowship value: The position is funded by the recently awarded prestigious ERC starting grant; salary is commensurate with experience.
Duration: initially for one year, renewable for up to a total of five years.
Eligibility
- Applications are invited from highly qualified scientists with a proven track record.
- Applicants must hold a PhD degree in physics or related fields and have experience in working with scanning electron microscopes.
- Previous experience with in-situ experimental setups and a cathodoluminescence system is highly beneficial.
