Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100+RGP of Rs. 6000/-

Requirements:

• NET qualification for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, for the candidates registered for PhD prior to July 11, 2009 is not mandatory if:
• PhD degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
• Evaluation of the PhD thesis is done by at least two external examiners;
• Open PhD viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted;
• Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which atleast one must be in refereed Journal;
• Candidate has made atleast two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.
• All the above conditions to be certified by the Vice Chancellor/Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).
• For the post of Assistant professor minimum age of entry is 18 years and retirement age is 60 years.
