German Historical Institute (GHI) and the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at the George Mason University (RRCHNM) invite applications form postdoctoral scholars and advanced Doctoral students based in Europe for a 12-month fellowship in digital history. The fellowship is supported by Gerda Henkel Foundation.
Benefits:
- opportunity for the recipient to develop an innovative research project at RRCHNM, where they will be in residence for a year
- the fellow might teach or co-teach undergraduate courses involving digital history, depending upon the qualifications and visa status
- recipient is also expected to cooperate with the GHI on a regular basis
- recipient will take part in the Institute’s scholarly activities and its digital projects
- Fellow will be given the opportunity to get in contact with other North American Centers for Digital History or Digital Humanities
Fellowship duration: Funding will be provided for a 12-month stay for postdoctoral scholars, who are currently affiliated with a German research institution.
Fellowship value: Stipend €3,400/month for Postdoc and €2,000/month for Doctoral scholars; reimbursement for the round-trip economy airfare to the US; grant for travel to other North American institutions up to € 5,000.
