Global Challenges Scholarship
Global Challenges Scholarship is meant to transform passionate young people into co-operative, informed, social entrepreneurs who can think out of box to improve the pressing global challenges. Being an International Scholar, participation in development program designed to enhance social entrepreneurship skills through design, problem-solving, co-operative work, thorough research and critical thinking.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be eligible to enroll in an UG degree at Lincoln University.
- Applicant must have completed secondary school in the past five years, scored well academically and not attended any other tertiary institution in New Zealand
- Applicant must have a strong academic background that demonstrates the ability to pursue and complete university degree while maintaining involvement in scholarship activities.
- Applicant must have excellent English proficiency, with an overall score of 6 in IELTS (or similar qualification), as the scholarship development program has a strong focus on communication and co-operative work.
Desirables:
- If applicant have done English language or foundation studies overseas, you will be accepted if you meet the other criteria
- If you are completing a Diploma at Lincoln University, you can apply for your following year (if successful, you will enter the program in your 2nd year of the degree, but as a 1st year on the scholarship program).
NOTE: To qualify as a Diploma of University Studies student, you must pass all 100-level papers and maintain a B average.
How to Apply:
- Apply for the Scholarship through the application system, MyLinc, while applying to study at Lincoln University.
- A short video outlining your interest in a current global issue, to be uploaded to Vimeo (instructions in MyLinc)
- Details of two referees
- Applicant’s acknowledgement to agree to the terms and conditions, including the privacy policy.
