Eligibility

  • Only university students eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of submission of the Initial Application are permitted to submit their proposals.
  • Students worldwide must be registered in a Bachelor’s (at least the 2nd year), master’s or MBA program of Business, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other Sciences are eligible to compete in the Contest.
  • The Contest is open exclusively to individual students in teams of two, of which at least one team member is female.
  • Both of the team members must study in the same country for the duration of the competition. They are not, however, required to be from the same university, nor are they required to study the same subject or be in the same year, as long as they are not in their first year of their undergraduate education.
  • The students are not required to be permanent residents or nationals of the country in which they are studying in order to compete.
  • Should an individual student Entrant be disqualified, that Entrant’s team will no longer be able to participate.

The Contest is organized in three steps, with each step followed by a period of review, assessment and selection that will move onto the next stage in the competition.

  1. Phase I – Submission of the Initial Application will run from January 2, 2019 – May 25, 2019 (as defined below).
  2. Phase II – Semi-finals, as defined below, will run until August 23, 2019.
  3. Phase III – The Final Round will run until the final presentations in October 2019.

Submission Guidelines

Phase I: Initial Application

Candidate must register for the competition as an individual. However, to submit a full application he/she must also register as a team of two.

Accepted formats for the initial application:

Power point Presentation: .ppt or .pdf format, 10 slides/pages including 1 cover slide, file size max. 50 MB

Internship Opportunities

Interviews for internships are guaranteed for the regional semi-finalists qualifying for Phase I. The interviews will be conducted by the HR team of the respective Schneider Electric office in the home country of the participants.
