The Department of Surgical Sciences, of the University is offering a position of a Guest Researcher.

Nature of the job:

  1. The Guest Researcher will join an international research team working on the development of innovative computed tomography imaging methods to study lung diseases in different in-vivo models.
  2. The specific work will consist in the analysis of high resolution CT images (down to 1 µm) to access the temporal and spatial behaviour of acinar structures (alveoli and terminal brochioli).

Eligibility Criteria:
The applicants should hold a PhD in physics, computer science, computer engineering or a closely related science awarded since not more than 3 years the time of application.

The applicant should have an excellent command over English language.

A basic knowledge of French language will be an added advantage since part of the planned work will be done at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) located in Grenoble, France.

Remuneration: Individually negotiated salary

Starting of the program: March 2019

Program ends: 28th February 2020
