IBEC Master Programme 2019: Life Sciences; 5 fellowships 834 views

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) invites applications for Master fellowships within the IBEC Master Programme for 2019. This is IBEC’s 2nd call of the Master Programme to encourage master students to begin a research career in the multidisciplinary research institution. The selected candidates will carry out research at one of IBEC’s research groups in Barcelona. The Master Programme offers a research experience under University agreement.

Number of fellowships: 5

Fellowship value: monthly stipend of 550€ gross

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must hold a university degree or must hold an official university qualification from a country of the European Higher Education Area from 180 to 240 ECTS of official university studies at the time of deadline (11th October 2018).
  • Applicant must have an average final mark of BSc of at least 8/10 (Spanish system) in
  • Engineering and experimental sciences (physics, chemistry, etc.) or at least 8,3/10 in Life sciences
  • Applicant must be admitted in an official Master Programme of a Catalan University by October 31st, 2018 (exceptions for non-local universities may occur)
  • Applicant must demonstrate strong commitment to scientific research and an excellent academic record.
  • Applicant must possess good working knowledge of English.
  • Applicants are eligible for a period of 2 years following the end of the Bachelor degree at the time of deadline October 11th 2018.
  • Applicants with any mobility experience, participation in research projects and/or other merits would hold advantage.

Applications:

  • Apply via online application. Candidate will be able to choose up to two research groups he/she would be willing to join.
  • The research groups of Associated researchers are also eligible as long as the Master thesis is co-supervised by an IBEC group leader.
  • Candidates will be required to provide in the online application tool the following information: Personal data; Cover letter, including motivation for applying; soft copy of Certified Academic Record, showing grades obtained (degree).
  • Education: For BSc obtained in non-Spanish universities, to standardize the final marks in application form, we will need that candidate submit his/her educational certificate using the relation of scales of foreign grades to the equivalent Spanish grades provided by the General Secretariat of Universities of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (instructions and template included in the application form).
