ICERM offers early-career mathematicians to the institute in order to support and expand their research and to create enduring career associations and acquaintances. There are various ways to participate as a Postdoctoral Fellow in an ICERM semester program:

• Spring Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship
• Spring Semester Postdoctoral Fellowships

Spring Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship:

• ICERM has one opening for 9-month appointment, beginning in September 2017.
• The Institute Postdoc will begin in the spring 2018 in project Point Configurations in Geometry, Physics and Computer Science” semester program.
• Stipend: $52,000; travel allowance: $1,500.

Spring Semester Postdoctoral Fellowships:

• 5 openings for this fellowship.
• These fellowships are dedicated to those who would like to participate in the spring 2018 semester program: “Point Configurations in Geometry, Physics and Computer Science”.
• Stipend: $26,000 for 4 months; travel allowance: $750.

Eligibility:

• Candidate must have received their Doctorate within three years of the start of the appointment.
• The research statement must clearly indicate interest in the spring semester program (Point Configurations in Geometry, Physics and Computer Science), whether the application is for the Semester (4 month) or Institute (9 month) postdoctoral fellowship, and how their research interests relate to the scientific goals of the “Point Configurations in Geometry, Physics and Computer Science” semester program topic.
• For Institute postdoc position- research statement must also outline research plans for work to be done as “researcher-in-residence”.
• Documentation of completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree in mathematics or a related area by the start of the appointment is required.
