ICETEX Scholarships: PhD/ Master’s studies for International students 1151 views

Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX) is offering non-reimbursable financial aid offered to foreign citizens, in reciprocity to the international cooperation received by Colombia under existing cooperation agreements, both government and inter-institutional. The scholarships are provided by the Government of Colombia.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be a foreign citizen of any nationality who do not reside in Colombia or have Colombian nationality.
• Citizens of Hungary, Ecuador, France and Peru cannot apply to this call.
• Applicant must not be not be older than 50 years of age
• Applicant must hold undergraduate degree (university degree or undergraduate degree) in different disciplines, who have an academic average of 4.0 on the Colombian qualification scale of 1 To 5.
• Applicant must have at least 1 year of professional experience in their field of study and must master the Spanish language (reading, writing and conversation-delivering an ELE Certificate-)
• Applicant must have definitive admission to the Colombian teaching center in any career indicated in the catalog attached to this call.

Scholarship value:

• $ 197,217 will be awarded only once during the study period
• Monthly Stipend: $ 2,213,151 Colombian pesos
• Installation Expenses: $ 378,962 Colombian pesos
• Registration Coverage of 100% of the total enrollment or tuition
• Books: $ 378,962 Colombian pesos will be awarded once a year
• Visa ICETEX endorses the application for the courtesy visa TP1.
• Health Policy Broad coverage in medical assistance only in Colombia, during the study period

• Constancy of Application: certificate generated automatically after successful completion of online application
• Authenticated copy title(s) obtained(s): The authentication of the diploma must be done before the competent authority of the country of origin of each candidate.
• Letter of admission of the university
• Certificate of notes with average: undergraduate or graduate studies
• Certificate of professional experience
• Letter of presentation: All application documents to the Call must be sent to ICETEX through the Embassy of the candidate’s country of origin, accredited in Colombia. DELE Exam (certificate of the Spanish language proficiency test)
• Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
• Photocopy of the Current Passport
• Applicant must attach an academic essay of maximum 2 pages that argues the importance of advancing your postgraduate studies in Colombia and the impact it will generate for your personal, professional development and application upon return to your country of origin.
• Health Certificate: stating candidate’s physical and mental health state (not more than 30 days at the time of applying to the call).
