IIM-A: Senior Scientist (Research Fellow) 1006 views

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) invites applications for the appointment of Research Fellow as a senior scientist within the Technical Support Unit (TSU) of Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). WG III is concerned with the mitigation of climate change.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Applicant must hold PhD in discipline such as environmental sciences, social sciences, engineering and systems research.
• Applicant must have experience and achievement in a field relevant to climate change mitigation, reflected in a growing national reputation.
• Applicant must have widespread experience and proven success in delivering research publications; applicant must provide references to the list of publications and authorship in relevant reports.

Desirable

• Knowledge/experience of one or more of the following areas: agriculture and forestry, business and finance, energy (including supply and demand), land use, management of natural resources, sustainability, modelling, policy, urban planning and human settlements
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary research environment
• Experience communicating research to policy and other stakeholder audiences
• Publication on climate change mitigation in reputed journals
• International experience of working or association with reputed institutions

Salary & Allowances:

• 90,000 to Rs. 1,20,000/- per month (consolidated)

Duration of appointment: initially 01 year; possibility of an extension till March 2020 (subject to performance and availability of funding).
