Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellow and JRF/Project Assistant positions. The Institute offers following project positions on contract basis:

Post-Doctoral Fellow

Project: Asymmetric Total Synthesis of Bioactive Macrocycles

Funding agency: DST-SERB, India

Qualification

• Applicants must hold PhD degree or candidates who submitted thesis are also eligible to apply.
• Applicants with some experience in any areas of Synthetic Organic Chemistry involved Multistep Synthesis, Total Synthesis of Natural Products, Asymmetric Total Synthesis, and Asymmetric Catalysis will be preferred.

Number of posts: 01

Salary: 36000 per month + HRA

Duration: 1 year; may be extended based on performance

Age: applicant must not exceed 32 (relaxation based on CV and experience)

JRF/Project Assistant

Project: Study of driven systems & Biological Processes

Funding agency: DST-INSPIRE

Qualification:

• Applicant must hold M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Applicant must have qualified NET/GATE
• Academically excellent applicants with experience in computer programming will be preferred.
• Applicant must be highly motivated to do theoretical research in Physics.

Number of Posts: 01

Salary: JRF- Rs 25,000 +HRA; Project assistant: Rs 16,000 +HRA

Duration: 1 year, extendable based on performance and availability of grant.

Age limit: JRF/Project assistant: 32 years with 3-5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically disabled as per government norms
