Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), (an autonomous Institute of the DBT, Govt. of India) invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the DST- (SERB) sponsored project.
Title of the Project: Integrative genomics approach to identify the role of Zeb1 and Zeb2 in dendritic cells and its impact on T helper cell differentiation.
Number of positions: 01 (One)
Fellowship value: Rs. 28,000/- per month with 20 % HRA
Duration: Initially for 01 year; extendable up to 03 years or until termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
Eligibility and Selection:
- Applicant must hold a postgraduate degree with Ist class in biological sciences or allied subjects and at least 2 years of research experience.
- Applicant must have hands-on experience in techniques such as cell culture, western blotting, Flow Cytometry (FACS), RT-qPCR and basic molecular biology.
- Applicants with national level fellowship (DBT-JRF, CSIR/UGC-JRF or other national level equivalent fellowship) may be considered for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position.
- The project involves understanding the dendritic cell immune responses and thereby developing methods to modulate the T helper cell differentiation.
- The recipient will learn a variety of biochemical, immunological and advanced high-throughput genomic techniques.
