IMPRS-CPQM: Doctoral program in Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials 2021 views

International Max Planck Research School for Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials (IMPRS-CPQM) is a joint PhD program between the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Technische Universität Dresden and the University of St Andrews, Scotland.

By working together, a highly attractive overall package of PhD level research is created on solid-state chemistry and condensed matter physics.

Requirements:
  • Applicant to be highly motivated PhD student who have a record of excellence in their previous studies.
  • Applicant must have Masters or MPhys degrees as part of their entry qualification.
  • Applications from candidates with excellent Bachelor degrees will also be considered for some projects involving St Andrews supervisors.

Applications:

Apply via the online form and upload the following documents:

  • a cover letter describing motivation for applying to IMPRS-CPQM and a statement discussing the projects most interested in (priorities regarding the selected projects, and discuss them in the cover letter),
  • a CV with complete description of your academic career,
  • a transcript of courses taken and grades obtained,
  • If candidate would like to submit further documents in support of applications, may do so via online form as well.
  • Make sure to have these documents ready as separate pdf files when starting the online application procedure
