The Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals for Postdoc research fellow (2) and Junior Research Fellow /JRF (2) subject to availability of suitable candidates with requisite expertise and qualification, in the following.

The Project is Welcome Trust/DBT India Alliance sponsored projects.

Project A –

“Role of Mitochondrial dynamics in Dengue virus life cycle and disease pathogenesis”

1. Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF):

 No of positions: 2

Fellowship: Rs. 36,000 per month + 20% HRA (as per DBT norms and commensurate with years of experience).

Eligibility requirements:

• D. degree in Life / Biological sciences.
• Experience in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and cell biology techniques (highly desirable).
• Experience in handling mice
• Publication in above subject areas will be given preference.
• Previous work experience in molecular
  virology

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

No of positions: 2

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month+ 20% HRA (as per DBT norms)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Master’s degree (with 60% aggregate)
• NET or equivalent qualification in the subjects of Biotechnology or Microbiology or Biochemistry and allied
  sciences are eligible to apply.
• Selected students in the projects will not be directly registered for Ph.D.
• However the students can compete for selection in ILS Ph.D. program after fulfilling all necessary
