DAAD provides annual fellowships and short-term research grants, supports guest professorships and helps to establish university collaborations. DAAD Regional Office New Delhi invites applications for an Intern.
The DAAD Regional Office New Delhi, established in 1960, promotes academic exchange between Germany and South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan). It provides information about institutions of higher education as well as research institutions in Germany.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- The following tasks must be undertaken under the supervision of the responsible Programme Coordinator/s:
- Processing, reviewing and updating the scholarship applications based on scholarship criteria
- Supporting the selection committee meetings and selection procedure
- Maintaining and updating databases
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Full time bachelor’s degree; students having a distance learning degree are not eligible
- Strong IT skills (particularly MS Excel to work on data and statistics)
- Knowledge of German language would be advantageous
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to handle confidential data
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, and diligence
- High organisational skills DAAD
Date of joining: latest by 15th September 2020 to 15th December 2020
- DAAD Office on 3rd Floor, R K Khanna Stadium, 1 Africa Avenue, New Delhi 110029
- This position requires a commitment of 40 hrs. per week
- This is a paid internship without stay and travel allowances
