International PhD Program in Biomedicine 1061 views

University of Basel is offering interdisciplinary PhD program, associated with the PhD program in Molecular and Cellular Biology offered by the Biozentrum. The Department of Biomedicine belongs to the Faculty of Medicine, and allows as well as promotes disease oriented biomedical research at international highest level.

Requirements:
  • Applicant must possess excellent command of spoken and written English (Cambridge level C2 or equivalent)
  • The Master degree/diploma of the applicant must be approved by the University of Basel (Student Services). The Master degree must qualify for the PhD subject.
  • The applicant must be matriculated at the University of Basel.
  • The first or second supervisor has to be acknowledged within the dissertation topic.
  • Every PhD student has to form a “PhD advisory committee” (PaC); it consists of the first and the second supervisor, and at least one additional external expert.
  • The PhD agreement must be signed by the first and second supervisor, the PhD student and by the DBM PhD coordinator* no later than 3 months after matriculation.

  • Applications can be submitted at any time.
  • The applications received are reviewed after the submission deadlines (1 April and 1 October). The support is offered for the subsequent semester.
