Synthetic and Systems Biology

Location: IIT Center for Sustainable Futures, Turin, Italy

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must have supreme expertise in synthetic and/or systems biology, with specific reference to the re-design of the enzyme portfolio of micro-organisms for useful purposes.
  • Specific areas of interest include gene manipulation and metabolic engineering as well as bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Applicant must hold Doctoral degree and relevant postdoc experience, as well as an excellent record of publications in broad areas of molecular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, genetics or biotechnology.

Robot Locomotion

Location: IIT Central Laboratories, Genoa, Italy

Eligibility:

  • PhD degree and relevant postdoc experience
  • excellent record of publications in engineering or related fields with a specialization in robotics systems
  • ability to rapidly establish and lead an independent, world-class research group is utmost important requirement
  • ability to develop theoretical principles, extending this into computational control methods and systems designed for applications in unstructured, complex, real world scenarios such as households and public spaces, construction sites, unstructured industrial environments, outdoor natural domains and disaster areas

Tissue Engineering

Location: IIT Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Healthcare, Naples, Italy

Eligibility:

  • PhD degree and relevant postdoc experience
  • world-class expertise in tissue engineering applications, in particular in designing bioactive scaffolds to control and guide cells morphogenesis and tissues-genesis processes in vivo and in vitro

Multidisciplinary Approach to Bio-systems Investigation

Location: IIT Center for Life Nano-Science, Rome, Italy

Eligibility:

  • applicant must have world-class expertise to initiate an independent research group in the Center for Life NanoScience (CLNS)
  • We are interested broadly in the interface between physics and biology, with an eye toward novel physics-based approaches to medical issues
  • Applicant must have a Ph.D. and relevant postdoc experience in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, engineering, physics, or medicine.
