JIPMER: Department of Preventive and Social Medicine is inviting applications for the posts of Scientist B, Technical Officer, and Senior Technical Officer.

Title of the project: Impact of Pregnancy on Tuberculosis.

The project is funded by U.S National Institutes of Health (NIH) by the Department of Preventive & Social Medicine, JIPMER, Puducherry.

1. Scientist B (Project coordinator)

Pay scale: Rs. 67095/month (approx.)

Qualifications:

• Applicant must hold MD, M.V.Sc. in Microbiology or Ph.D in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.
• Desirable: Experience in Tuberculosis Clinical Research
• Experience: 3 years research experience in the relevant subject after receiving essential qualification.
• Applicant must have working knowledge on Mycobacteriology, Molecular techniques, PBMC processing and cryopreservation, ELISA etc.,
• Familiarity on IATA regulations is also required.

2. Technical officer(A)

Pay scale: Rs. 30033/month (approx.)

Qualifications:

• Applicant must hold B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biostatistics or MCA
• Desirable: Experience in clinical data management and handling data in FTP server
• Experience: 5 years of working experience

3. Senior Technical Assistant

Pay scale: Rs. 29607/month

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry or Medical Lab Technology (MLT).
• Desirable: Working knowledge on Mycobacteriology
• Experience: 3 year experience in Molecular techniques, RNA processing, PBMC processing and cryopreservation and revival of cells and ELISA techniques.
• Applicant must have familiarity of IATA regulations.
